		Stairs refurbishment completed a few weeks ago. The old elm staircase had fallen into a state of disrepair and had become unsafe due to the stairs being at least 200 years old with attempts to repair them over the years. One of the problems was that the stairs had been built on top of the original dirt floor causing damp to be drawn into the timber work and rotting it! Staircase had to be stripped back to where it was solid and then we set about digging...
