Another lovely oak job finished up a few weeks ago. This lean to oak porch is 3.5 m x 1.3 m deep, made with 8x8 green oak beams. This is phase 1 of giving the property a face lift. What a transformation! From an old rotten porch to a stunning direct glazed oak frame, now ready for decorating. Fitted with a joinery grade front door to compliment the build. We made the frame in our workshop then transported it too site, which cut down on disruption at the home. We also carried out works inside the house, including moving a bathroom, partitioning and knock throughs....
An interesting roof and set of oak trusses we made back in the summer for a development project we were a part of in Ross-on-Wye. 1 side was a hip the other was a curve! And this was only the Garage!...
This is a project that we completed last year near Tintern in the Wye Valley. The project was a garage conversion to create an open plan office space upstairs. We had to take the roof off and raise it to allow the added head room required. Lots of steel was required to support the new open roof structure which proved tricky to manoeuvre due to the access. All in all it was a very satisfying project to take on and in such a beautiful area....
I've not posted anything for a while. Its been a very busy year on various projects but here is a recently completed project for some very good customers of Hollymore Developments. This is one that we have seen through from the ground up (credit to Hartpury construction for the groundworks and slab). We made the timber frame in a workshop in the winter and erected it this spring....
